Our Policies

Crafted with care. Guided by clarity.

Behind every KOYAFABS creation is a commitment to craftsmanship, thoughtful partnerships and transparent communication. Explore the key information about shopping with us, approving custom work and commissioning textiles for your business.

About these policies

KOYAFABS is a textile and lifestyle brand operated by Kalakriti Handicrafts Private Limited and Koya Arts Private Limited in Jaipur, India.

The selling company for an order is identified on its accepted quotation, order confirmation, proforma invoice or tax invoice.

This page provides an overview of our policy framework. Separately accepted written order terms govern specific commercial transactions, and mandatory legal rights remain unaffected.

01. Website Use, Orders & Payments

For browsing, buying and confirming an order.

Availability and confirmation

Product availability, prices, quantities and specifications are subject to confirmation where relevant. A product enquiry or quotation request does not by itself confirm an order.

Responsible seller

The company named as seller on the accepted quotation, order confirmation, proforma invoice or tax invoice is responsible for that transaction.

Prices, taxes and payments

Applicable prices, taxes, shipping charges and agreed payment arrangements are communicated through the website checkout, quotation, invoice or order confirmation, as relevant.

Trade and customized orders proceed on the commercial terms accepted in writing.

Written agreements

For trade and customized manufacturing, the accepted quotation, specifications, sampling and testing arrangements and other expressly accepted written terms govern the agreed order.

A buyer’s separate purchase-order conditions apply only where the selling company accepts them in writing.

02. Shipping, Delivery, Returns & Refunds

Clear expectations from dispatch to delivery.

Delivery arrangements

Shipping charges depend on factors such as destination, quantity, weight, dimensions and delivery method.

Ready-to-ship and customized goods have different processing times. Estimated dispatch dates and transport arrangements are confirmed at checkout or in the relevant quotation or order confirmation.

International shipments

Shipments outside India may incur import duties, taxes, clearance fees or other destination-country charges. Unless agreed otherwise in writing, these are borne by the customer or importer.

Customs and courier delays may affect estimated delivery.

Cancellations and changes

Contact us promptly to request cancellation of a ready-to-ship order before dispatch.

For custom or made-to-order products, changes or cancellations after sample/specification approval and production authorization require our written agreement and may involve additional costs.

Returns and remedies

We do not offer change-of-mind returns or exchanges for approved customized or made-to-order products.

If an item arrives damaged, incorrect, unsafe or materially different from agreed specifications, contact us promptly with details and photographs.

We will review an appropriate correction, replacement, refund or other remedy according to applicable law and agreed terms.

Mandatory consumer rights are not restricted.

Transit concerns

Where practical, photograph damaged outer packaging and retain supporting evidence. Contact us before arranging a return so that suitable instructions can be provided.

03. Custom Orders & Sample Approval

A shared standard, agreed before production.

Your approval matters

Before authorizing production, buyers should carefully review the sample and agreed written details, including fabric, colour, motif placement, print repeat, measurements, stitching, trims, labels, care requirements and any testing results.

Production authorization

Approval by email or other agreed written communication and authorization to proceed allow materials to be sourced and production to begin.

Changes, rework or cancellation requested afterwards are subject to written acceptance, available production capacity and additional costs.

Nature of handmade work

Slight variations in registration, shade, placement, edges, texture and the appearance of repeat production batches are natural characteristics of hand block printing.

Such variations are assessed against the approved sample and any specific tolerances agreed in writing.

Custom goods and legal rights

Approved custom products cannot be returned or exchanged simply because preferences or requirements change.

This does not affect legally required remedies for defective, unsafe, incorrect or materially non-conforming goods.

04. Hand Block Printing, Dyes, Testing & Care

Understanding the character of handcrafted textiles.

Artisanal variation

Every hand-applied block impression has its own character. Perfect mechanical alignment, identical impressions and exact shade matching across production batches are not promised unless measurable tolerances have been expressly agreed.

Dyes and chemical claims

Dyes, pigments, binders and other printing chemicals may be sourced from independent suppliers.

We endeavour to use suitable materials, but do not make a blanket claim that all products are “100% azo-free”, independently laboratory-tested or certified to every overseas standard.

Any specific certification applies only to the product, batch and test parameters expressly documented.

Requirements and laboratory testing

Trade buyers should disclose their intended sales market and any special restricted-substance, colourfastness, children’s product, retailer, labelling or testing requirements before final pricing and sample approval.

We recommend independent laboratory testing of representative materials before bulk production.

Buyer-requested testing is normally arranged and paid for by the buyer unless otherwise agreed in writing. This does not lessen mandatory product-safety obligations.

Colour release and care

Some colour bleeding, rubbing transfer or fading may occur, particularly during early washes.

Follow the product care label. Where suitable, wash separately in cold water with mild detergent, avoid prolonged soaking and bleach, and dry in shade.

Do not leave wet printed textiles in contact with pale-coloured items.

05. Design, Copyright & Intellectual Property

Respecting original ideas and traditional heritage.

Buyer-supplied artwork

Original designs and artwork supplied by buyers remain the property of their lawful owners.

We use such materials for the approved sampling and manufacturing purpose, with limited technical adaptations or disclosures needed to complete the order.

No intentional resale of confidential buyer designs

Without the buyer’s written permission, we will not intentionally reproduce an identifiable, confidential buyer-specific design for an unrelated customer or knowingly sell goods carrying that design through our own channels.

Traditional motifs and independent creation

Floral butas, paisleys, jaals, borders and other Rajasthani, Mughal and shared traditional motifs may naturally resemble works used elsewhere.

General motifs or printing techniques are not automatically exclusive. This does not remove protection for original or registered designs.

Independent processing

Curing, washing, finishing, quilting, stitching, transport and similar job work may involve independent service providers.

We take reasonable precautions to limit unnecessary sharing and discourage copying, but cannot guarantee that unrelated third parties will never imitate publicly visible or externally handled designs.

Buyers’ design rights and permissions

Buyers are responsible for ensuring they have the rights and licences needed for artwork they supply.

Formal exclusivity, intellectual-property assignment and the detailed allocation of responsibility for infringement claims require the applicable accepted written agreement.

An artwork submission alone does not transfer our pre-existing designs, techniques or know-how.

06. Trade & Wholesale Manufacturing

For brands, retailers, designers and hospitality partners.

Scope of work

We work on hand block printed fabrics, garments, home textiles, accessories, private-label collections and bespoke production.

Availability, minimum quantities, sampling charges, production lead times, payment milestones, packaging, labels and shipping requirements are discussed and confirmed for each order.

Specifications and approvals

Please provide your complete brief, final sizes, artwork, colours, packaging instructions and destination-market requirements.

Where the parties agree a sample, printing strike-off or quality specification, written approval forms the reference for production.

External job work

Some specialized steps, including finishing, washing, embroidery, quilting or other processing, may be performed by approved outside partners.

The applicable accepted design and manufacturing terms describe handling of buyer materials.

Quality concerns

Business buyers are requested to inspect shipments promptly and notify us in writing of readily discoverable shortages, transit damage or non-conformities, preferably within seven calendar days of receipt.

Concealed issues should be reported promptly when discovered.

This request does not shorten any non-waivable legal claim period.

Full commercial terms

The detailed Hand Block Printing & Buyer Terms and Design, Copyright & Intellectual Property Terms apply to a trade order only when supplied or incorporated before acceptance and accepted in writing, as provided in those documents.

If a separately negotiated written agreement differs, its applicable provisions take precedence.

Privacy questions

Requests relating to personal information, correction, deletion or privacy complaints should be sent with the subject “Privacy Request” or “Privacy / Grievance”.

These requests are handled under our separately published Privacy Policy.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

Our applicable commercial dealings and accepted contractual terms are governed by the laws of India.

For contractual disputes where the parties have validly agreed exclusive jurisdiction, the competent courts at Jaipur, Rajasthan, India have exclusive jurisdiction to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Such provisions do not create jurisdiction where none exists and do not override mandatory consumer rights, statutory remedies, product-safety requirements, intellectual-property proceedings or rights to approach a competent regulator.

Privacy matters are addressed in our separate Privacy Policy.
